British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos confirmed on Wednesday night. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to leave and heal privately.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the passing of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge follows the sports world offered sympathy for the star in the following the terrible crash.
