Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
An aircraft carrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a spokesperson said in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence does not mark the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has suffered mechanical issues.
Months ago, a American military jet ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was required to return to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical fault.
