The Initial Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Is Still Fighting.

In numerous discussions, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for the green team. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Platform-specific outlets are now publishing content on PS5 topics as a new development. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that the green gaming company remains determined to draw people in with quality releases on its key platform.

The Immediate Additions

The duo of games that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Major Titles on the Horizon

Come mid-January, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. Another big get is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The game set in a ruined Britain from last year could captivate you remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Well-Rounded Collection

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service by themselves. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — which makes them perfect candidates to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
