Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts considerable online presence
Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known supporters when she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to play at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns multiple golf courses and frequently competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He essentially suggested to compete and relax," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions this year and holds the 461st position in AJGA rankings.
Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's an even better person. He advised me to go out there, have fun, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in the sport at the Annika, such as world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
Officials mentioned that Kai's presence exposes the sport to wider groups, especially with younger fans.
The social media influencer boasts millions of followers and just introduced her own fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
